Lake Union Swift Sailing Clinic
Become comfortable rigging and have fun sailing Lake Union Swifts in our fleet. You’ll learn a bit about the history, the different components involved with rigging the boat, how to sail these boats most effectively, and spend most of your time out on the water sailing.
Prerequisite: Current CWB sailing checkout and livery card.
Course Information: We'll start this specialized sailing clinic with a chalk talk in our outdoor classroom or gallery. We'll review sailing theory and mechanics specifically related to these boats. We'll then move to the docks and start rigging boats in teams in preparation for sailing away and practicing what we've learned with the coaching of instructors on the dock and in a chase boat.
Dates & Scheduling: Clinics are scheduled every second Saturday 10:00am-1:00pm (the exception is April).
- Cancellation more than 15 days in advance: 50% refund of the course fee.
- Cancellation 14 or fewer days in advance of the course: No refund.
Please Note: CWB reserves the right to cancel any course due to emergency or lack of enrollment. In such case, we will refund tuition in full. If traveling from out of area, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance in the event we must cancel this class.
**Reminder: This course REQUIRES participants have passed a CWB sailing checkout and have a current sailing livery card. No exceptions.**
Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email including more details with a link to complete final registration and our liability waiver.
